Turbo-charged, water cooled, direct injection, diesel engine with mechanical fixed speed governor, fitted with replaceable oil, fuel and air filter assembles. Engine shut down protection for low oil pressure, high water pressure and overspeed. The engine-mounted radiator is tropicalised and suitable for high ambient temperature operation. Heavy duty batteries are fitted for key start/stop operation with charging system and battery ammeter

A brushless self-exciting self-regulating alternator is close coupled to the engine by a steel flange housing and driven through a flexible coupling. The alternator has drip proof air ducts with tropically insulted windings to class H. Voltage regulation under full load is plus or minus 1.5%.

Auto-start control panel comprising key switch, auto-start terminals wired to terminals, fully rated 4 pole output circuit breaker and a range of single and three phase socket outlets.

The engine and alternator unit are mounted on a steel fabricated base frame with an integral fully bunded 631 litre fuel tank for daily service. Totally enclosed in an acoustic canopy, reducing noise levels to 85Dba at 1mtr.
